Interpersonal and Influencing Skills: Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
A degree (or equivalent) in engineering, environmental or geography related discipline. Chartered membership of a professional body such as APMP, CIWEM, ICE, or a management institute is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and support teams in delivering their work.
Some technical knowledge would be useful to manage a technical team who will be overseeing delivery of hydrology, river modelling, feasibility assessment, asset management, business case development, cost monitoring/forecasting, scope preparation, CDM, engineering design and construction.
Significant experience in project, contract, business management and/or people management required. Experience in engineering, construction, or flood & coastal risk management is desirable but not essential.
A track record for delivering results in technically challenging projects through coordination of a technical team will need to be demonstrated.
