Sr. Construction Manager

Description

• Lead end‑to‑end construction for data‑center projects from development through final delivery.
• Actively monitor safety of site infrastructure, substation, and core/shell construction.
• Manage interfaces with suppliers, general contractors, authorities having jurisdiction, and community stakeholders.
• Steward site permits and coordinate logistics across multiple locations.
• Develop and control project schedules, budgets, and resources to keep work on‑time and within scope.
• Enforce OSHA safety requirements and halt unsafe operations.
• Oversee contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Development, Engineering, and Procurement teams for seamless handoff and operational readiness.
• Report progress to senior leadership, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, JHAs, GCs, and subcontractors to support successful delivery.
• Conduct weekly/daily delay surveys, maintain CPM schedule, and update schedules in real‑time with PMs.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives and implement best construction practices.
• Assemble close‑out documents, O&M manuals, warranties, and preventive‑maintenance agreements at substantial completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 9+ years managing data‑center or large‑scale, mission‑critical construction projects.
• Proficiency with scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and construction management tools (Procore).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
• Proven experience leading large contractor and subcontractor teams, delivering projects on time and under budget.
• OSHA 30 certification; professional certifications such as CCM, AC, or CPC preferred.
• Working knowledge of green building practices.
• Excellent communication, organization, collaboration, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
