We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Special Projects team at Vistry Services, based in Brentwood with site travel as required. The role will manage all project costs, aiming to minimise expenditure, improve margins and deliver value for money while maintaining required standards and quality. Responsibilities include procurement, cash‑flow management, subcontract administration, monthly payments and final account settlement.
Key responsibilities include attending design and development meetings to advise on cost implications, reviewing contract documentation for errors and cost risks, preparing tender packages and procurement trackers, analysing quotations and constructing cost models, collaborating with the Construction Director on staffing and programme budgets, arranging budget settlement meetings, issuing stage payment schedules, managing subcontractor orders, negotiating contracts and variations, monitoring monthly cost reports, processing subcontractor payments and final accounts, and providing cost advice on post‑completion defects.
Candidates must demonstrate integrity, caring and quality, hold an HNC/HND in Surveying or Construction (or equivalent experience), and have experience with major FM contractors, high‑rise cladding projects or self‑delivery housing associations. Required skills include strong IT, analytical and communication abilities, mathematical proficiency, budget management, negotiation, networking, COINS experience, and the ability to work under pressure within a busy team.
