Water Hygiene Technician

Description

As a key part of the team you will travel to customer sites to ensure water systems are safe and compliant across the region. Your day will involve inspecting and cleaning water storage vessels, leading tank chlorinations, installing and servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves, and carrying out routine monitoring tasks in line with HSG 274 Part 2.

You will use the SimPRO system to manage your workload, spot problems and proactively find solutions, leveraging detailed knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG 274 to maintain a professional, compliant reputation.

• Travel to customer sites to inspect and clean water storage vessels, leading tank chlorinations.
• Install and service Thermostatic Mixing Valves.
• Perform routine monitoring per HSG 274 Part 2, including flushing outlets, monitoring temperatures, descaling showerheads, flushing pressure vessels, and sampling closed water systems.
• Use SimPRO to manage workload and document tasks.
• Identify problems and implement proactive solutions using knowledge of HSE’s ACoP L8 and HSG 274.

Requirements

The role requires a full, clean UK driving licence and City & Guilds Legionella Awareness Training, or equivalent industry experience.
