Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of transportation projects for a variety of clients.
Assist with discrete work tasks required in preparation of roadway design set of plans.
Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Carry out engineering analyses and prepare reports and technical specifications under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collect and analyze data, perform field work, and undertake site inspections under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Work collaboratively within project teams to ensure project objectives are met within the defined scope, schedule, and budget.
Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level member.
Attend site visits and meetings in clients’ offices.
Maintain project records and files, contribute to the preparation of progress reports, and communicate project and task updates to team members and supervisors as needed.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another related field and must have completed at least 2 years of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship
This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Coral Gables, FL. The selected candidate must be available to work in Coral Gables, FL on a scheduled basis.

Degree emphasis in transportation engineering preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficient in AutoCAD, ORD, Civil 3D, or other engineering software packages.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
