We are seeking an experienced Associate Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing team. With solid local experience, you have a strong design understanding, are team and delivery focused, and have a positive attitude and passion for growth.
Technical Skills
You bring outstanding fire protection experience, significant project management ability, and thorough technical understanding. You are confident when communicating and routinely demonstrate your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, project teams, and internal teams.
- Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Code.
- Problem-solve complex design challenges, delivering exceptional solutions for clients.
- Proactive and innovative approach to solutions
- Extensive experience with Fire Protection (wet & dry) services engineering from concept to construction completion.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
- A recognised leader in your field of expertise.
- Clear applied knowledge of local building codes and standards (BCA, Ordinance 70, NFPA and Australian Standards for fire sprinkler systems, fire hydrant systems, fire detection and alarm systems, compliance with local fire brigades).
- Extensive experience leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary projects including managing client expectations.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in Australian building services, ideally in building services consulting.
- Ability to multitask, balance high attention to detail with efficiency while meeting project commitments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities with clients, project teams, and internal teams
- Proficiency with latest technology – REVIT/AutoCAD, BIM360, HYENA, Microsoft Suite including Office and OneDrive.
- Revit design and modelling experience highly regarded.
- Intelligent and articulate verbal and written communication skills.
- Registered Professional Engineer Victoria.
