Build your career at US Aggregates! As an Equipment Operator/Laborer, you will be responsible for maintaining production, maintenance, quality, and safety within the Aggregates' Operations function, operating heavy equipment such as front‑end loaders, haul trucks, and skid steers.
The operator will operate, service, and maintain various heavy equipment—including front‑end loaders, off‑road dump trucks, skid steers, man‑lifts, fuel trucks, and water trucks—perform fueling, oiling, greasing, conduct pre‑shift and end‑of‑shift checks, and keep accurate activity, inventory, and maintenance logs.
All safety policies must be followed, including PPE requirements and rules governing railroad tracks; facilities and equipment are kept clean, process improvements are recommended, required paperwork is completed, and terminal procedures for product transfers and quality assurance are adhered to.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with reliable attendance, the ability to follow written and verbal directions, basic English literacy and math, knowledge of US Aggregates safety principles, and strong communication skills; welding, torching, and maintenance abilities are preferred.
Physical demands include standing or walking on level or uneven ground, climbing ladders or catwalks, bending, crouching, lifting or moving up to 50 lb, and working outdoors in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, wet, or windy environments.
