  • Perform design of various types of natural gas distribution projects including new gas main installations, gas main replacements, reinforcements and other system support projects as required.
  • Complete project design package including, but not limited to: construction drawing, bill of materials, customer list, as-built records, bid package and cost estimate.
  • Ensure compliance with all engineering principals, gas operating standards and all applicable codes, mandates and statutes.
  • Develop timely and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Collect, research, and interpret existing facility records, in GIS and project as-builts, as part of the design process.
  • Create construction drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Analyze construction proposals for municipal, county, state and private projects for conflicts with existing gas facilities and propose recommendations to resolve conflicts.
  • Meet, negotiate, and collaborate with city and state officials, engineers and construction contractors to resolve conflicts in a timely manner and relay Company policy, procedure and other information relative to the gas industry.

  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or other computer assisted design software.
  • Basic understanding of Gas Utility
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology areas, Mechanical or Civil preferred, with 0 years of relevant experience.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
