The CDL Driver & Crane Operator role at SRS Building Products ensures safe, efficient transport and delivery of building materials to job sites within a 200‑mile radius, handling trucks, cranes, and forklifts while maintaining documentation and customer interaction.
Key responsibilities include performing DOT‑compliant pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, coordinating with rooftop loaders, verifying inventory, documenting deliveries with photos, assessing site safety, providing on‑site customer service, and supporting warehouse and yard maintenance.
- Operate commercial trucks, boom cranes, and forklifts to deliver building materials.
- Perform DOT‑compliant pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
- Coordinate with rooftop loaders and verify inventory before deliveries.
- Capture delivery proof with photographs and complete required documentation.
- Conduct on‑site safety assessments and report any hazards.
- Provide courteous customer service and support warehouse tasks as needed.
- Plan and execute routes within a 200‑mile radius, returning home daily.
- Utilize digital inventory management systems for order verification.
- Adhere strictly to DOT and OSHA safety regulations.

The position requires daily travel from the home branch with no overnight stays, lifting up to 100 lb, operating in varying weather, navigating ladders and confined spaces, and adhering to safety regulations; reasonable accommodations are provided per ADA.
Minimum qualifications consist of a valid Class A or B CDL with air‑brake endorsement, a current DOT medical certificate, 1‑2 years of relevant experience, crane operator certification, and forklift operation experience (preferred); candidates must have a clean driving record and pass background and drug screening.
Additional expectations include strong communication, organization, route planning, digital inventory management, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.
