Manage product and process development with suppliers.
Improve supplier quality processes such as assessments, supplier management, part approval, and corrective actions.
Provide support to Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering regarding analysis and disposition of suspect supplier material.
Assist suppliers with development of manufacturing processes.
Participate in Supplier selection and evaluation. Work cross-functionally to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
Assess the manufacturability of new product designs and assist both engineering and suppliers with improving manufacturability.
Assess the capability of potential suppliers.
Issue corrective action requests to suppliers and provide support with their resolution.
Lead high visibility root cause investigations by applying “8D” problem solving.
Review prototype and production part quality document submissions from suppliers, and provide feedback.
Drive continuous improvement throughout the supply base using quality and lean manufacturing tools.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Statistical tools such as JMP, R, and Tableau are a plus.

Sound interpersonal skills and strong ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships.

Strong Project/Process Management skills and capabilities particularly in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing Quality processes.

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
Must be able to establish technical credibility with the Engineering Staff.
Practical working knowledge and application of SPC.
BS, (or MS or Ph.D.), in one of the following: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science or Physics
