HSE Manager

Design, implementation, communication and coordination of all environmental, health, and safety programs for E&C Cluster. This position will develop and provide technical and administrative direction under the overall framework of Group Safety, on all HSE decisions, which bear critical importance to overall Division objectives, operations, and profitability, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing strategic initiatives that minimize risk and enhance operational excellence in E&C Cluster.

• Provide regular written reports, on all project safety aspects and updates to the Senior Management Team.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Oversight of Division’s HSE incentive programs and periodically reviews them to ensure they are accomplishing the desired results. Make necessary changes to the program to maximize effect.
• Devise, supervise, and coordinate training programs which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote HSE consciousness
• Lead the development of HSE policies, procedures, and systems to ensure a safe working environment across all projects and facilities.
• Address specific reporting and record keeping requirements of OSHA, EPA, etc., as well as other pertinent safety/regulatory compliance matters and to ensure project sites are in compliance.
• Develop and implement the company’s Health & Safety strategy aligned with corporate goals and industry best practices with an annual budget for recommendations and implementation.
• Staffing, directing and supervising HSE teams across multiple project sites and ensure consistent implementation of safety protocols and full compliance with national and international HSE regulations, standards, and codes.
• Review internal HSE policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments.
• Review & investigate projects incidents (GL/WC/Recordable Incidents, Near Miss and First Aid) and ensure proper records are completed and submitted. Assist in implementation of corrective actions as it relates to the incident and ensure “lessons learned” are communicated throughout the Division and are incorporated into the program.
• Stay abreast of current and emerging technical and professional aspects of this position and Participate/attend industry related conferences with appropriate Management approval.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and contractors on HSE matters and represent the company in industry forums and regulatory meetings.

• Techno savvy in administering the safety system across the company.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
• Bachelor degree in Electrical / Civil / Mechanical
• Proven experience in managing HSE across large-scale construction or engineering projects.
• Sound knowledge on the construction practices related to safety.
• Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
• Minimum 20 years of experience
