- Perform work in all weather conditions, during normal and after hours.
- Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
- Operate different electronic detection equipment, locate and mark under-ground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
- Read and interpret utility maps / prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
- Provide accurate documentation and or sketches related to all locates completed.
- Use assigned communication equipment to effectively communicate with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel, regarding underground facilities.
- Operate company vehicle in a safe manner, and maintain professional appearance.

- Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
- Experience with Trimble GPS or ARC GIS are a plus
- 3-10 years’ experience in a relatable position required; prior location work highly preferred
- Clean driving record required.
- High school diploma/GED required.
