Description

• To manage and grow your own client base and to develop excellent business relationships with new and existing clients
• To work with a wide range of clients to provide bespoke appeal and mitigation advice across a broad spectrum of properties
• To work with clients and to provide bespoke appeal and mitigation advice to a wide range of clients across a broad spectrum of properties
• To assist with and provide rating advice to occupier, developer, and landlord clients through all stages of the property cycle including challenging assessments through the CCA process, advising on empty rates, payments and other areas including completion notices
• To integrate fully in the wider business network and to develop relationships with key service lines including Agency, Investment and Development to promote the team and leverage opportunities

Requirements

• Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook) familiarity with Rating software
• Good general surveying and inspection skills
• Detailed knowledge of rating legislation and case law
• Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Be competent and experienced appearing in both the Valuation tribunal and (preferably) upper tribunal arenas
• Ability to work autonomously and co-ordinate tasks efficiently to ensure deadlines are met
• Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
• Confident and assertive where required
• Team player who works effectively with colleagues and clients
• Experience in providing rating advice and negotiating appeals
• Good interpersonal skills
• MRICS qualified with proven Rating experience
