Operates as the Reliability Coordinator for the reliability coordinating council region BES to ensure reliable operations
Forecasts near-term demand of the company's customers to ensure sufficient generation is committed and dispatched
Evaluates process generation, transmission and substation equipment clearance requests consistent with system reliability
Complies with all FERC, NERC and regional/state reliability standards and requirements associated with the operation of the BES
Oversees and manages the processing of requests for transmission service and schedules of all interchange transactions by the power coordinators
Acts as leads operator at the company's System Control Center operating the BES to serve customers safely, reliably and efficiently
