Project Controls Manager

Description

• Ensure consistent and accurate progress measurement, schedule and cost forecasting, and trend analysis.
• Issue and maintain project control documentation, including WBS, Risk & Opportunity Management Plans, Control Budget, Master Schedule, and Cash Flow.
• Organize and maintain strong integration between scheduling, cost control, risk management, and document control functions.
• Design and implement a tailored Project Control System based on project complexity, contract requirements, and risk analysis outcomes.
• Promote a schedule/cost/risk awareness culture among all project participants.
• Support the Project Manager in keeping the project within budget and risk-safe through an effective control organization.
• Oversee document control processes by ensuring project documentation is structured, maintained, tracked, and aligned with EDMS requirements.
• Prepare and issue all required internal and client reports, including documentation supporting client invoicing.
• Monitor, assess, and report project performance against established baselines; identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

• Excellent communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
• Solid understanding of project change management processes, including MOC tools and impacts on project economics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced capability in cost control techniques, performance measurement, earned value, progress assessment, and economic risk evaluation.
• Expertise in project analysis and reporting (S-curves, KPIs, productivity indicators, earned value).
• Strong understanding of WBS/CBS creation and implementation; experience with cost control, planning, document control, EDMS, SAP, and scheduling tools (including Primavera P6).
• Strong understanding of project planning standards and ability to ensure proper planning, scheduling, progress measurement, deviation analysis, and time-impact assessments for complex projects.
• Proficiency with EDMS configuration, document control workflows, and development of analytical project reports.
• Knowledge of integrated project control systems and information management techniques, with ability to troubleshoot user issues.
