- Conduct thorough engineering analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA), structural simulations, and stress testing, to ensure frames meet or exceed performance and safety requirements.
- Document and maintain accurate design specifications, engineering drawings, and technical reports throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with the Vehicle Integration, Structural Analysis, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of chassis frames into the overall vehicle architecture.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source and evaluate materials and components that align with design specifications and quality standards.
- Lead the design and development of BOF chassis frames for various vehicle platforms, considering factors such as structural integrity, weight optimization, safety standards, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Support prototype builds, vehicle testing, and validation activities to ensure designs perform as intended and identify areas for continuous improvement.
