The role involves setting up and installing dies or coils into power presses to punch, notch, cut blanks, or form and draw metal plates, strips, sheets, or blanks. This work supports manufacturing processes that require precise tooling and equipment handling.
Key responsibilities include setting up machinery, installing stamping dies, performing scheduled tooling changes, troubleshooting, repairing tools and dies, and conducting preventative maintenance. The incumbent must monitor presses and related systems to ensure proper operation throughout production.
Regular attendance, punctuality, and readiness to work overtime are required. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, with up to three months of related experience or equivalent training, and basic PC skills are helpful.
