The Quality Control Inspector ensures all quality standards are met for both manufactured and purchased products and serves as the final point of inspection. The role includes maintaining reports and performance metrics, raising non‑conformance reports, and supporting problem‑resolution activities such as containment, root‑cause analysis, and corrective and preventative actions. The inspector works with minimal direction and reports to the UK Quality Leader.
Approves incoming, in‑process, and finished materials by confirming specifications, performing visual and measurement tests, and coordinating re‑work when needed. Documents inspection results in reports, logs, and SAP while managing measurement‑equipment calibration. Conducts first‑off, final, and random inspections using CMM and FARO equipment, provides training on best‑practice inspection, and audits manufacturing processes as required. Maintains a safe work environment and completes non‑conforming reports with root‑cause analysis.
Must be a British citizen with a valid passport and able to obtain SC‑level security clearance for this UK‑eyes‑only role. Requires proven experience as a quality inspector, a keen eye for detail, and familiarity with CMM, FARO, laser and arm measurement tools. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical quality‑control standards, inspection methodologies, and proficiency in MS Office are essential.
