In this key leadership position you will provide timely and accurate reporting, forecasting and planning support to the Wangara team, ensuring products reach customers reliably and on‑time through safe and efficient movement.
You will lead a team of 30 employees across day and afternoon shifts, with flexible working hours primarily during the day shift, and support transport logistics for a 24‑hour, five‑day operation. The role requires you to lead logistics operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop your team’s capabilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders.
- Support operational contractor management, drive cost efficiencies and prompt service.
- Collaborate with logistics companies and carriers to ensure on‑time deliveries, resolve issues, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, standard operating procedures, and audit standards.
- Coach and mentor direct reports and team members.
- Champion a culture of accountability by setting clear expectations, defining roles, and upholding high standards.
- Ensure load scheduling meets chain‑of‑responsibility requirements.
- Motivate and influence the team to achieve well‑informed, positive outcomes.
