Electrical Engineer

Description

The position leads the Electrical, Instrument and Telecom disciplines throughout the construction phase, ensuring product quality and timely delivery to commissioning. Collaboration with the electrical design team is required to capture project requirements and formulate a work plan for system construction, testing and commissioning.

• Oversee electrical, instrument and telecom work on construction sites.
• Develop electrical work plans based on design specifications.
• Analyse and interpret cable ladder, tray, system layout, single‑line and interconnection drawings.
• Conduct hot‑work fitting, cable termination, continuity testing, megger tests and ATEX inspections.
• Generate work packages by area or subsystem and schedule resources using Primavera P6.
• Allocate tasks, provide necessary materials and facilities, and monitor progress against the schedule.
• Apply Plan‑Do‑Check‑Act methodology and report daily progress to EPCC.
• Liaise with vendors, subcontractors and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related discipline; entry‑level candidates accepted with on‑the‑job training.
• Ability to understand construction schedules, perform critical‑path analysis and manage vendors independently.
• Strong project‑handling capability with minimal supervision.
