The Customer Success Manager (CSM) at Autodesk drives success for Business Plan customers in the post‑sales lifecycle, covering onboarding, usage, and extension phases for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) accounts. The CSM creates and executes tailored Customer Success Plans that align Autodesk’s Architecture, Engineering, Construction & Operations (AECO) and Design & Manufacturing (D&M) portfolios with mission‑critical priorities, delivering measurable business value.
In this role you will partner with Sales, Technical Sales, Autodesk Channel Partners, Technical Support, and Client Services to help DoD customers overcome technical challenges, maximize adoption, and integrate Autodesk solutions into their workflows. You’ll use data‑driven insights to identify low usage or churn risks and proactively engage stakeholders at all levels, from contract managers to end‑users.
- Own post‑sale relationships for assigned DoD accounts, ensuring measurable mission impact.
- Co‑create and execute Customer Success Plans aligned with customers’ priorities and adoption goals.
- Define success metrics, track progress with analytics, and conduct regular account reviews.
- Lead Customer Success planning, coordinating actions across Autodesk teams and Channel Partners.
- Document business value achieved by customers as measurable success stories.
- Provide onboarding guidance, identify at‑risk customers, and reduce churn through proactive support.
- Collaborate with Sales, Technical Sales, Channel Partners, Technical Support and Client Services to drive success initiatives.
- Participate in account planning processes to identify target accounts and expansion opportunities.
- Monitor usage data and health indicators, translating insights into success strategies.
- Engage with all customer personas, from contract managers to leadership, to align solutions with objectives.

- Minimum qualifications: up to 5 years in Customer Success, Support, Sales or related customer‑facing roles; ability to uncover business challenges; experience documenting strategies or success plans; strong executive communication; customer‑first mindset; multitasking and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications: experience with Autodesk for Government or FedRAMP‑approved cloud; knowledge of hybrid cloud/on‑prem workflows common in DoD; active Secret or higher security clearance is a plus.
Benefits
Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $77,800 to $134,200 for U.S.‑based hires, with potential for bonuses, commissions, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package covering health, financial, time‑off and wellness resources. Salary levels are adjusted for experience, location and may exceed the stated range.
