The Associate Property Manager, Multifamily at Cushman & Wakefield is tasked with maintaining community properties to market‑ready standards while delivering high‑level resident service. The role involves building and motivating high‑performing teams to maximize property performance.
In this position you will support the Regional Property Manager in all aspects of building operations, ensuring smooth daily functioning in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities include oversight of maintenance, capital projects, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy planning, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
You will provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects, aiming to boost satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. The role also requires completing lease and renewal paperwork to company standards and tracking advertising and client traffic.
Leadership duties involve supervising the on‑site team, enforcing Cushman & Wakefield policies, hiring, interviewing, and coaching staff, and maintaining resident files. You will maintain a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and follow‑up, manage the community budget, and collaborate with leasing staff to meet marketing goals.
Effective communication, strong customer service, proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools, and solid bookkeeping and sales skills are essential. You will set leasing goals, evaluate staff performance, and ensure policy compliance while managing the team.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree preferred (high school diploma, GED, or technical school required) and at least three years of property‑management experience, including one year in a supervisory role. Work is performed in a professional office setting with regular travel between properties and typical physical demands such as climbing stairs and standing for the majority of the shift.
Cushman & Wakefield offers a comprehensive benefits package—including health, vision, dental, flexible spending, retirement plans, life and disability insurance—and competitive pay ranging from $32.30 to $38.00 per hour, subject to location, experience, and collective‑bargaining status. The company is an equal‑opportunity employer and provides accommodations for applicants with disabilities.
