Senior Stormwater Management Specialist

This position will primarily support project delivery for WWE’s stormwater management services, with some support for wetland delineation and regulatory compliance services.

• Preparation of Stormwater Management Plans (SWMPs): Develop SWMPs to effectively address pollution in stormwater runoff and manage the municipal review and resubmittal process for these SWMPs.
• Field Inspections: Conduct inspections of construction sites and post-construction stormwater control measures to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project requirements.
• Wetland Delineations: Delineate wetland and non-wetland waters using U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) methodology.
• Wetland Regulatory Support: Evaluate Clean Water Act Section 404 (CWA 404) regulatory requirements and assist projects in obtaining necessary permissions and/or permits.
• Environmental Planning: Assess proposed projects for potential impacts and determine whether floodplain, wetland, construction stormwater, and/or groundwater dewatering discharge permits may apply.
• Client and Contractor Engagement: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to provide technical guidance, address concerns, and ensure project success.

Requirements

The qualified candidate will work full-time out of the Denver office and have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental science and at least some experience in developing, implementing, and/or inspecting SWMPs, with an interest in expanding their skill set to include wetland and non-wetland water delineations and permitting under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. Success in this role will require a high degree of professionalism, time management, clear communication, analytical thinking, accountability, and decision quality. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or GIS is desirable, as is prior experience in wetland delineation and permitting under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental science
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or GIS preferred

• Experience in wetland delineation and permitting under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act preferred
