

Fabricates, constructs and maintains steel water storage tanks and towers.
Key responsibilities include planning work orders, gathering tools and materials, repairing and fabricating equipment, monitoring welding processes to prevent overheating or distortion, preparing and tacking weld parts, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The welder must also report any faulty equipment or defective materials to a supervisor.
The Shop Flux Core/Stick Welder position supports the new tank division by welding, cutting, and brazing metal components using flux core and stick welding techniques. The role requires solid knowledge of welding processes and the ability to produce high‑quality work.
Candidates must have at least three years of stick or flux‑core welding experience, be able to pass a company weld test, and possess a thorough understanding of welding machines, tools, and maintenance. Additional skills include reading technical plans and blueprints, basic math related to welding, and strong communication abilities.
The work environment requires welding in various positions (vertical, flat, overhead), good manual dexterity, close‑range visual acuity, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate facilities by climbing, balancing, and stooping.
