Monitoring contingency drawdowns and provide recommendations as needed.
Providing cost data required for Gateway submissions.
Assisting senior leadership in the annual business planning process.

Recording financial transactions promptly and accurately in financial systems, collaborating with procurement to ensure proper handling of contracts, variations, and invoices.
Assisting Project Managers in drafting financial content for approval papers.

Problem solving and analytical skills for resolving cost and contract administration and procurement issues
A degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
Good interpersonal skills to prepare reports, negotiate and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience of managing parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
Detailed knowledge of most forms of contract.
Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction. Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific sector/market of project/role.
Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent).
Commercial and financial acumen.
Sound knowledge and ability to undertake and advise on Contract Administration and Contract Management.
Ability to seek opportunities for implementing improved working practices.
