Follows the guidelines set forth in by clients and the company Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan.
Work with the laboratory Scientist to review/troubleshoot procedures and work assignments.
Efficiently execute experimental design to generate data that confirms the analytical methods are accurate and reproducible, inline with Client’s expectations.
Participate in the laboratory inventory program that provides adequate inventories of reagents and supplies.
Adhere to the requirements of the client and company Quality System.
Pipette Calibration and Specimen inventory upkeep
Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens for daily testing (e.g., printing labels, uncap/cap specimen tubes, aliquot specimens, prepare racks, worklists, enter/scan specimens and load automated instruments).
Contemporaneously and accurately document experiments, data, technical reports, and findings electronically in an accessible manner.
Complete training and competency checklists as appropriate.
Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Quality Control SOPs.
Clean, organize and maintain work area, glassware, and laboratory equipment (e.g., refrigerators, freezers, and supply cabinets, as needed).
Assist with routine Instrument maintenance on some equipment.

Experience in handling large quantities of confidential data
Minimum one (1) year experience general biology laboratory techniques
Knowledge of CAP CLIA regulations
Ability to quickly understand job-specific software
Team-oriented and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
Driven, energetic person coordinating activities among different areas of the department
Proven consistent pipetting skills and aseptic technique.
Proven Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint skills
Possess strong organizational skills with ability to quickly assess project status and communicate it effectively
Have solid experience maintaining a high attention to detail
Communicate professionally and concisely - both written and verbal
Be a proven multi-tasker that truly thrives on juggling multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
Ability to understand scientific terminology and communicate it to others
Associates degree in biology or a related field
All tasks are performed in CAP/CLIA regulated environment, CAP/CLIA standards must be observed
