Continuously seek new ideas and advancements made in the NDE arena for improved and optimized NDE application, techniques, and inspection practices.
Organizes the external and interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
Supports the planning and execution of complex project work within the technical department to meet member/client objectives; prepares and presents research reports.
Supports proposal efforts and new promotional work.
Continues to communicate work across EPRI programs to make sure parallel work is informed.
Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Communicates strategies and results, written and verbal, to program members, potential members and external stakeholders through guidelines, reports, meetings, webcasts, workshops and conferences.
Broaden technical expertise and interface with national and international technical networks with manufacturers, consultants, national labs, academia, and research organizations.
Has developed relationships with primary advisors to a research area.
Manage projects efficiently and effectively. Successfully meet program and sector goals including financial goals, as well as meeting project milestones, and facilitating technology transfer.

Manages small or medium (less complex) projects including budgets and resources.
Work with both domestic and international members to ensure they are receiving value from EPRI. This could require some travel, including internationally.

An advanced or associates degree in NDE, engineering or relevant scientific field

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering OR

Experience working in a utility as an electromagnetic NDE staff, service provider, or researcher is preferred.
Should be innovative, idea driven, self-motivated, can produce, and deliver quality and usable results to address complex industry issues to sustain safe and reliable operation of power plant components
Should be able to attend to customer needs on demand, on-site or remotely
Is willing to travel at least 25% of the time, including international travel
Ability to apply technical knowledge to industry issues and gain input on needs from members/stakeholders on emerging industry issues and propose a solution towards solving the issue.
Should possess strong knowledge, experience, and background in electromagnetic techniques for tubing and surface applications.
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of field experience performing electromagnetic inspections, research and/or development project and promotional experience, including development of advanced concepts for internal research or equivalent experience. Proven leadership and capability in management of projects involving technical complexity.
Work well in a team/collaborative environment, which may include other EPRI issue programs, sectors, external contractors, and EPRI members.
