Identify routine problems and conduct basic troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical equipment and processes to ensure continued sample analysis and optimum instrument performance.
Provides response and follow-up to laboratory inquiries from utility subsidiaries, business partners and clients groups within requested timeframe
Perform sample analysis using quantitative and qualitative methods; process samples within required holding times and laboratory goals, understand & follow QA/QC protocols to ensure all data generated meets EPA and accrediting authority standards as well as customer and laboratory requirements.
Cross-trains with colleagues with more experience to develop competence in all areas of lab.
Evaluate and monitor supplies and other laboratory costs to assist in maintaining the lab budget.
Provide secondary review and validation of data produced across several analytical methods; participate in assigned preparation for and follow-up to external and internal audits.

Fundamental knowledge of instrumentation such as IC, HPLC, ICP, ICPMS, GC, GCMS, FIA, LCMS, IA, TOC, UV, or CVAA preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field required. Relevant laboratory work experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Ability to work in both team and individual settings effectively.
