Diesel Mechanic - Perth Based

Rebuild and refurbish diesel engines (Cummins/Caterpillar) in a workshop.

Tasks

-Maintain a clean and organized work area. -Maintain detailed equipment and engine records in accordance with workshop procedures. -Execute engine rebuilds, overhauls, and refurbishments on Cummins and Caterpillar engines according to company procedures and standards. -Provide insights and recommendations to the Supervisor for optimizing engine performance and longevity. -Embrace and promote continuous improvement initiatives within the team -Participate in safety meetings and training programs, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures. -Conduct performance testing to validate the integrity and efficiency of rebuilt engines. -Conduct thorough inspections to assess the condition of components, identifying and documenting areas requiring repair or replacement.

-Competency in delivering high-quality work in a workshop environment. -Adherence to company WHS policies and procedures; including Major Hazard Management Procedures ensuring workplace compliance and reporting hazards and near misses. -Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. -Mechanical trade qualification. (LV Mechanics encouraged to apply) -C Class Driving License. -Willingness to learn and apply new technologies. -Can-do attitude with the ability to build and maintain cohesive relationships. -Engine reconditioning and maintenance experience.
