Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential ground risks such as settlement, slope stability, liquefaction, soil-structure interaction, and suggest appropriate mitigation measures.
Design Inputs: Provide geotechnical design inputs for tunnels, stations, viaducts, embankments, foundations, retaining structures, and other civil works.
Capacity Building: Advise, train, and mentor project team members and junior engineers on geotechnical matters and best practices.
Quality Assurance: Ensure geotechnical works at site are executed as per the approved designs, standards, and specifications.
Geotechnical Investigation: Plan, supervise, and review geotechnical site investigations including soil, rock, and groundwater studies for metro alignments, stations, and related infrastructure.
Review of Reports: Prepare and review geotechnical investigation reports, design documents, technical specifications, and construction drawings.
Construction Support: Provide expert guidance during construction, especially in complex or challenging ground conditions, and assist with troubleshooting geotechnical issues.
Reporting: Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for project management and regulatory bodies.
Data Analysis: Analyze laboratory and field geotechnical data to evaluate soil and rock properties, groundwater conditions, and geotechnical risks.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and statutory requirements for geotechnical works.
Coordination: Coordinate with civil, structural, and tunneling teams to integrate geotechnical solutions with overall project requirements.
Monitoring: Oversee geotechnical monitoring programs (e.g., instrumentation for ground movement, groundwater level) and interpret results for timely decision-making.
