General Maintenance Technician

Description

• Serve as the primary technician on-site at the designated facility.
• Maintain a proactive approach to building upkeep and service delivery.
• Mounting TVs and equipment
• Preventative maintenance on ice machines, and cleaning.
• Monitor equipment and replace water filters on schedules.
• Assure restroom facilities are operational and repaired when needed.
• Room setup and support for meetings
• Assure snow and ice are clear as needed as a backup to the contracted snow removal team.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and support on-call
• Perform general building maintenance including:
• Act as the go-to resource for facility-related requests from staff.

Requirements

• Basic landscaping knowledge and experience (ie: planting seasonal flowers; operate leaf blower on sidewalks/paths etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• This role requires on-call availability for emergencies, including nights and weekends.
• Able to perform HVAC preventative maintenance on equipment
• Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing are a plus but not required.
• Skilled in basic plumbing, and general handyman tasks.
• Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems (no certification required, but familiarity is essential).
