Contract Specialist

Description

• Perform Supplier Qualification with financial considerations, safety, references, IT risks, technical capabilities, any conflicts, etc.
• Planning, engaging with business owners, determining contract strategy, risk mitigation and final contract handover
• Provide technical and commercial evaluations for RFPs
• Supports business with end to end contracting requirements (existing agreement, new agreement, definition, sourcing, negotiating, bidding etc.)
• Supports business in review and preparing Scopes of Work for contracts.
• Leads bidding activities for projects and other scenarios, as required, including providing advisory activities/recommendations on scopes of work, required exhibits, and other bid documents.

Requirements

Due to Business need, all candidates must be local. No relocation, sponsorship or per diem will be offered.

Our team is looking for a Contracts Specialist based out of Houston, TX. This is a long-term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess experience in coordinating end to end contracting from requirements, definition, bidding, sourcing, negotiating and securing agreements.

• Proven experience contracting for materials and services across various categories
• Proficiency in SAP
• Clear understanding of contracting and procurement processes
• 7+ years related contracting / procurement / supply chain experience
• 7+ years’ experience midstream LNG / oil and gas
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, or a related discipline. Alternatively, candidates with 5 or more years of experience in contracts will be considered in lieu of a degree.
