Moves hand and foot controls to jerk truck forward and backward to loosen and dump material adhering to body.
Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements, size up load
Loads truck by hand or by operating mechanical loader.
Communicate with Dispatcher and other Haul Truck Drivers using communication devices such as a two-ways radio or onboard computers
Maintain paper or electronic log book
May drive special purpose vehicles, including: end dump trucks, centre dump truck units, shuttle cars, remix trucks and water trucks
Pulls levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
Perform inspections of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights, turn signals and brakes
Operate and drive heavy haul trucks to transport large heavy equipment over short distances either early in the morning or late at night
