Lead the development of new products to meet OEM specifications utilizing target cost methodology.
Oversee the manufacturing team in the production of “first articles.”
Create detailed part drawings and BOM utilizing Creo.
Communicate customer requirements to other team members effectively.
Lead execution of design failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
Develop advanced test procedures, set-ups/rigs, documentation, and lab reports.
Lead creation and execution of design verification plans.
Solve complex problems using advanced engineering analysis, critical thinking, and creativity.
Responsible for driving key KPI targets for continuous improvement and project success.
Lead material sourcing efforts.
Ensure production methods/limitations are considered in the design.
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on projects.
Effectively communicate with our customer base, from OEMs to homeowners.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline from an accredited university.
Proficiency in advanced 3D computer-aided design software; experience with Creo is required.
In-depth exposure to UL-1738, ULC-S636, ANSI Z21, and NFPA 54.
3-6 years of work-related experience.
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize high-value projects.
Requires speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone.
Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard or other office equipment.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Mastery of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Understand customer needs deeply and translate them into technical requirements.
Required to wear Safety Glasses & Steel/Composite toe shoes while in Warehouse or Manufacturing Areas
Extensive familiarity with lab testing equipment and procedures.
Occasionally be required to lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
