Job Overview: The lead AV Technician is responsible for the installation of commercial and professional audio visual equipment. This position requires working closely with project managers, general contractors, sub-contractors, and clients to complete projects on time, within budget, and with excellent quality.

  • Serves are the main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns
  • Responsible for running an AV project crew and will assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training
  • Coordinates with the project manager to ensure productivity, job completion, and compliance with budget
  • Responsible for adhering to the company’s and client’s safety guidelines

  • Ability to read and implement construction and signal flow drawings
  • High standards of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering, and crimping
  • Network cabling is a plus
  • CTS certifications are a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of AV installation experience
  • Be self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues as they arise
  • Performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge and being able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
  • Familiar with Extron, Crestron, AMX, and Audio DSP Systems, manufacturer’s certifications are a plus
  • Ability to test completed systems fully for both engineering specifications and operational functionality
