Support the wider Developer Services team with planning insight and expertise
Lead Anglian Water’s response to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects and Transport and Works Act Orders
Secure protective provisions and ensure water and water recycling demands are clearly understood
Build strong relationships with internal teams including Strategic Asset Planning
Maintain up-to-date intelligence on external infrastructure projects to inform long-term planning
Act as the primary contact for external developers and internal stakeholders
Coordinate input from subject matter experts across the business to mitigate risks and realise opportunities

Proven experience in town and country planning, particularly development management
Experience in planning policy and influencing development through the planning process
Strong advocacy, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation
Degree in a planning-related discipline (essential)
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and think strategically
Postgraduate planning qualifications and/or Chartered Member/Associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute (essential)
