The role functionally directs the Clean Energy Centers (CEC) mechanical and technical training programs—covering chemistry, engineering, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and radiation protection—and serves as the subject‑matter expert for the functional area. Mastery of technical knowledge and training expertise is applied to develop, implement, evaluate, and modify discipline‑related training programs.
Key duties include designing and delivering performance‑based training in line with Constellation’s Systematic Approach to Training, counseling trainees and creating individualized plans, and keeping programs current with INPO, NRC, and internal regulatory updates. The position also participates in audits, supports business initiatives, project management, outage and emergency preparedness activities, and coordinates instructors to ensure high‑quality training delivery. Additional responsibilities involve emergency response, departmental coverage, and outage support as directed by management.
Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma/GED with seven years of nuclear technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus three years of nuclear training experience and compliance with ANSI/ANS‑3.1‑2014 standards. Candidates must also meet access and medical requirements appropriate to the position.
Preferred candidates have supervisory or managerial experience, enhancing their ability to lead training teams and drive performance improvements.
