Project Manager Civil

Description

• Line managing the Site Agent, Project Engineer, and QS, and overseeing all site staff through the Site Agent
• Addressing any design issues and working with the client to resolve them
• Signing off on RAMS and other key H&S documentation before works begin
• Reviewing and approving monthly progress claims
• Reviewing project plans and creating a clear, detailed baseline programme using Microsoft Project
• Tracking progress and keeping the client updated throughout the project
• Flagging and negotiating project variations with the client
• Identifying delays and critical-path issues, and negotiating extensions of time when needed
• Monitoring costs, spotting areas where budgets might slip, and helping shape solutions
• Managing contract documentation and making sure all required notices are issued on time
• Carrying out regular safety and quality audits

Requirements

They’re now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team and take the lead on coordinating and managing on-site construction activities.

• Civil engineering background preferred
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
• Solid experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering or construction
• Background in utilities or experience working within the road corridor is a big bonus
• Full driver’s licence
