As a Designer Manager, you will manage exciting, large-scale projects while leading a dynamic, forward-thinking team. This role suits a passionate interior designer who is ready to take the reins on impactful projects, elevate design standards, and shape inspiring spaces. You will drive design vision, mentor designers, and deliver high-caliber design on high-profile hospitality, multi-family, and commercial projects.
- Create & Innovate: Lead the creation of the project’s conceptual design vision and present it to the team and clients, articulating your ideas with clear logic and reasoning. You’ll be the driving force behind new design solutions.
- Mentor & Coach: You’ll mentor and guide the next generation of designers, helping them improve their skills and grow within the company. You’ll also provide feedback on design standards and processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of the team.
- Project Leadership: You’ll take the lead in managing project timelines, budgets, and scope, ensuring everything aligns with the contract and client expectations. You’ll also delegate tasks, track progress, and keep the project on track.
- Client & Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Leadership Team and clients to maintain positive relationships, ensure smooth communication, and oversee the delivery of high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Quality Control: You’ll ensure the highest quality in all project deliverables, overseeing redlines, and coordinating with the team to ensure all mark-ups are executed and design integrity is maintained.

- A Project Management Pro: You’re great at juggling multiple projects at once, across different phases and scales. You’ve led teams through the entire design process, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Management Tools: Proficiency in Project and financial management software as well as coordination tools like Smartsheet and Bluebeam for responsible leadership of teams and projects.
- A good partner: You enjoy defining design standards and ensuring alignment with business goals. In this role, you help to bridge the gap between design, development, and business stakeholders.
- Client-Centric: You know how to build strong, positive relationships with clients, serving as a key contact and helping with business development opportunities. You understand the importance of clear communication and keeping everyone aligned on project goals.
- Design Software: Mastery in Revit, CAD, InDesign, SketchUp, Enscape, and Photoshop.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills: You possess the ability to articulate vision, strategy, and design details enhance teamwork, drive project success, and create lasting, positive relationships both internally and externally.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in interior design (or related field) and a minimum of 8 years of experience designing creative, standout interiors.
- Design Process: You possess an expert level of industry knowledge for the full scope of FFE and Design phases, construction administration, and consultant management.
- Project Knowledge: Experience leading large-scale projects through all phases with a proven track record for highly creative solutions, on-budget planning, and award-winning design.
Benefits
Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 per year
Work Environment: Vida operates on a hybrid work schedule. Employees work Mondays and Fridays from their home office and Tuesday - Thursday are in office workdays.
