As a full‑time Range Caretaker, you will maintain roads, buildings, towers and airfields, manage vegetation through spraying and planned burns, and conduct inspections, audits and GIS data recording. Additional duties include fire mitigation, cyclone preparedness, community engagement, subcontractor coordination, accommodation management, and delivering briefings to ensure operational readiness before exercises.
The ideal candidate holds a mandatory Certificate in Senior First Aid and preferably a Cert III in Conservation and Land Management, with at least three years of experience in land and infrastructure maintenance, chainsaw operation, weed spraying, fence repairs and firefighting. Strong communication, collaboration and problem‑solving skills, basic computer and radio proficiency, map navigation ability, and eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance (requiring Australian citizenship) are also required.
