As a Managing Consultant, Wetland Delineator/Botanist at ERM, you will lead field‑based environmental work, guide teams, and influence project strategy while protecting critical natural resources with precision and integrity.
This position directly supports responsible power and renewable energy projects throughout the region. Your scientific rigor and regulatory insight will help projects meet environmental standards and advance sustainable progress.
You will lead high‑quality wetland delineations, rare plant surveys, and vegetation mapping that impact permitting and project viability. As a trusted technical expert you will produce defensible reports, oversee QA/QC, represent ERM with clients and agencies, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development through proposals and cost estimates.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a natural science field or equivalent experience, at least five field seasons conducting wetland delineations using the 1987 Corps Manual and its Regional Supplements, and strong proficiency with sub‑meter GPS, ESRI Field Maps, and map interpretation. Candidates must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, be able to work in adverse outdoor conditions, travel frequently (including weekends and on‑call duty), and hold a valid driver’s license.
The anticipated annual base salary ranges from $90,000 to $118,233, with potential bonus eligibility, and the position includes a comprehensive benefits package covering paid time off, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and retirement plans such as a 401(k).
