Product Development Technician

Join a cutting-edge team driving innovation in power systems, with a strong focus on sustainability and electrification. This hands-on technician role supports the development and testing of advanced diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrain technologies.

Work within a small, collaborative team of engineers and technicians. The role offers high visibility across R&D and product groups, contributing directly to next-gen power system innovation.

• Apply advanced diagnostics to resolve performance-related issues
• Perform electrical safety checks including insulation resistance, ground bonding, and Hi-Pot testing
• Collaborate with Facilities Engineering to implement and improve systems
• Use diagnostic tools (CANape, Cat ET, AVL) for calibration and troubleshooting
• Build, strip, and test electrification, diesel, and hybrid components
• Operate testbed systems and sign off test data for release
• Interpret engineering drawings and manuals in a workshop setting
• Raise and report issues via the Pre-Production Reliability Development (PPRD) process

• Exposure to EV, hybrid, AC/DC motors, high-voltage systems
• Teamwork, communication, and a proactive learning mindset
• Cross-disciplinary problem-solving
• Microsoft 365 (basic proficiency)
• Apprenticeship (electrical/mechanical), ONC/HNC, or relevant degree
• Electrical/Electronics background
• Calibration/diagnostic software
• Experience with calibration/diagnostic tools (e.g., CANape, Cat ET, AVL)
• Strong mechanical fundamentals
• Experience in HGV, construction, or R&D environments
• Strong health & safety awareness
