The Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer (EPC) leads the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules for EPC projects, ensuring alignment with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Working closely with project teams, the engineer creates detailed work plans, monitors progress against timelines and milestones, identifies variances, and proposes mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Using Primavera P6 (and Microsoft Project) the engineer performs critical path analysis, resource loading, schedule compression, and prepares network logic diagrams, look‑ahead schedules, and comprehensive schedule reports for stakeholders.
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or 15+ years equivalent experience), extensive EPC experience in oil & gas or petrochemicals, and proven proficiency with Primavera P6, earned value management, and risk analysis; Deltek Acumen is a plus.
Strong analytical, communication, and mentoring skills are essential, along with detailed knowledge of company standards, engineering disciplines, and the ability to integrate cost, material, and labor estimates into the schedule.
Hargrove promotes a team‑oriented, safety‑focused culture, offers a full benefits package (paid holidays, PTO, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k)), and is an equal‑opportunity, drug‑free employer that values community involvement and employee growth.
