- The primary responsibility of this role will be to integrate process workflows for a range of optoelectronic devices, such as VCSELs (Vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers), photonic integrated circuits, edge-emitting lasers, PIN detectors, and other essential optical components. These devices are crucial for advanced communication systems, sensors, and high-performance optics.
- Develop comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials, to support smooth technology transfer from research and development to production, ensuring consistency and adherence to high-quality standards.
- Contribute actively to process development and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the various stages of the compound semiconductor fabrication facility, with an emphasis on optimizing yield, efficiency, and performance of optoelectronic devices.
- Oversee project management responsibilities, which involve direct communication with customers, preparing detailed project timelines, and providing regular progress updates. This includes tracking milestones, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that project deliverables are achieved on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.

- Hands-on experience in III-V semiconductor design, fabrication processes, and integration methods, with a solid understanding of material properties, growth techniques, and fabrication steps essential for manufacturing optoelectronic devices.
- In-depth knowledge of cleanroom processes such as Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD), wet etching, dry etching, and photoresist patterning is required. Familiarity with semiconductor processing techniques for optoelectronic devices is key to ensuring high-quality production.
- A BS or MS degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline, with 1-3 years of practical experience in optoelectronic device design and fabrication. Preference will be given to candidates with strong academic qualifications and hands-on experience in semiconductor technologies.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is an advantage, as familiarity with these methods will aid in process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in photo mask design, including the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, is necessary to ensure accurate patterning and fabrication of optoelectronic components.
