In this role you will provide leadership to the MEP team on a portfolio of projects locally, nationally and internationally, having the responsibility of ensuring correct technical approaches are applied to the project are carried out appropriately to undertake the tasks at hand. You will be expected to have project management skills and will have remit for the financial performance of the projects including liaising directly with clients on fees and commercial matters, effectively overseeing total project delivery by enabling effective team management and delegation to ensure the efficient and satisfactory delivery of multiple and complex projects, reporting to the Project Director.

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Senior / Principal Engineer with excellent design, technical, and sustainability skills who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams, taking responsibility for projects from inception to completion to achieve outstanding results. You will be able to demonstrate a solid background in the field of Mechanical Engineering Systems for building services, and a track record of multi-disciplinary design by bringing the best of Arup together.

  • Have strong awareness of appropriate sector-specific legislation, regulatory requirements and design guidance and future trends.
  • Have extensive experience in winning and delivering a range of medium - large UK projects from concept to completion.
  • Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Building Services Engineering, or a closely related discipline, and are Chartered (CEng) with a recognised professional body such as IMechE or CIBSE
