Our client delivers large-scale underground power infrastructure, including trenching, cable installation and substation works across the NSW network. This role will see you embedded with the delivery team on a high-profile transmission project, overseeing all civil works (trenching, cabling, backfill and reinstatement).

You will take ownership of all project health, safety and environmental functions, ensuring that field operations meet client, legislative and internal WHS requirements across multiple work fronts.

Support and coach Site Supervisors, Engineers and Leading Hands on best-practice safety behaviours
Lead day-to-day HSE management across trenching, cable installation and associated civil works
Monitor subcontractor compliance, plant and equipment checks, and high-risk work permits
Develop, review and implement SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments and project-specific HSE plans
Liaise with Transgrid HSE representatives and ensure compliance with client standards and permits
Conduct regular site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations

Detailed knowledge of NSW WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and high-risk construction work
Strong exposure to trenching, underground services, cabling or transmission/distribution projects
Proven experience working alongside major clients (experience with Transgrid or similar a strong plus)
Solid incident investigation and report writing capability (ICAM or similar desirable)
