Develop comprehensive cost estimates for electrical building projects, including expansion and upgrades.
Prepare and present cost estimates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
Identify and mitigate potential cost risks and recommend value engineering solutions.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to refine cost projections and ensure accuracy.
Maintain and up-to-date database of costs, trends, and market conditions relevant to each market that we work with.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the estimation process.
Assist in the development of bid proposals, contract negotiations, and procurement strategies.
Analyze project requirements, drawings, and specification to determine scope, materials, and labor needs.
Familiarity with industry standards.
The ideal candidate with have a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and structural components of power distribution centers and control panels, as well as experience in budgeting, procurement, and vendor negotiations. This role is preferably in office but can be remote with regular and frequent communication with the team in Tulsa.
Background with low voltage and medium voltage electrical components such as VFDs, switchgear, and MCCs highly preferred
Headquartered in Tulsa, OK we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator or Applications Engineer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in estimating software
Demonstrate foresight in evaluating upcoming tasks to identify potential challenges, long-duration activities, or special requirements, while maintaining flexibility to reprioritize in response to evolving sales demands.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret project specifications and technical documents.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation, in data center, mission- critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong negotiation and communication skills for internal and external interactions
Ability to work in a fast- paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and civil components
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, preferred
Skilled in cost tracking, cost analysis, unit pricing, percentage calculations, and post- project performance reviews to ensure accuracy.
