Where appropriate, wears personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with Company standards and governmental regulations.
Document Fiber Panels.
Self-supervise all operations to ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
Complete daily production reports, keep track of work hours.
Work with customer should they want them fixed and re-spliced.
Scope and clean fibers to ensure they are clean.
Run fiber jumpers between panels.
Field train and control/oversee the work of other technicians when necessary.
Meet or exceed customer and internal documented acceptable levels of quality.
Work with supervisor for scheduling and updates.
Identify out-of-spec splice points and jumpers.
Keep accurate detailed notes.

Exposure to dust, odors, gasses, vapors, varying noise levels, and wet or slick surfaces may be possible.
Must be able to work nights and weekends, if necessary.
This position may require working outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions and terrain; may work for long periods in hot, cold, wet, windy, or icy conditions.
Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD).
Applicants are required to pass company drug testing, submit to a background check, and adhere to all OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements and training provided by the company as required.
Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR).
Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
Possess a current/valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no DUI/DWIs within the past 5 years.
Must be willing to travel.
Experience with OTDR and Fusion Splice Machine.
Must be willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required. This job requires 95% traveling position.
Both ISP and OSP.
Chromatic Dispersion (CD).
Optical Return and Power Loss (using OLTS).
High-quality workmanship oriented.
Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
Must be able to traverse and work in all areas of the job site. This may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
Must be able to distinguish colors.
