Review Prime Contract to determine obligations, liabilities and highlight risks.
Support project pursuit teams and estimating. and
Negotiate Change Orders, variations and change issues.
Conduct monthly review and reporting of potential claims and opportunities with Vice President & District Manager.
Develop and implement Change Management procedures and track contract and subcontract changes/modifications.
Analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
Manage subcontracts and purchase orders including resolving contractual issues, administration, reviewing change entitlement, and other duties required to support the successful administration of subcontracts and purchase orders.
Provide interpretation of Prime Contract language.
Manage contract reporting activities and identify and track deliverables.
Manage contract administration processes and results.
Forensic reviews of baseline and progress construction schedules & provide input to the project team.
Develop and implement District and Company-wide best processes and policies.
Develop risk register & key contractual obligations from Contract review.
Develop contract management activities to ensure compliance with the Prime Contract.
Identify and mitigate/prevent/resolve problems involving high risk or high monetary cost to Bird.
Liaise with project teams on a variety of matters as required. And provide to the District Management and Risk Management group a quarterly commercial management “best practices” report based on the performance of your responsibilities.
Ensure timely and accurate contractual correspondence.
Present lunch and learn sessions to members of the district on key commercial management principles and lessons learned on a regular basis.
Train staff on the implementation of contract processes and procedures and contractual requirements/obligations.
Negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders.
Prepare narratives and entitlement documentation.
Review all surety and insurance.
Claims avoidance and management, including preparation of claims submissions.
Develop tender and RFP qualifications.
Develop correspondence with Client as appropriate to request necessary changes and modifications to meet the project requirements.
Maintain excellent relationships clients, subcontractors, suppliers and the public.
Assist in negotiations concerning changes.
