Interns will work alongside senior and junior designers on a variety of projects, including public transit, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, roadway and bridge work, as well as other large private and public structures. A strong interest in transportation engineering and infrastructure design is essential.
Key responsibilities include preparing drawings and specifications using MicroStation or Open Roads Designer, formatting reports and specifications, managing electronic project documents, and utilizing company‑wide software tools. Interns will also engage in assignment‑specific activities that contribute to overall project success and gain broad exposure to STV’s organizational structure.
STV is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Transportation Intern to join its Transportation team. This hybrid internship requires at least three days per week in the office and is open to undergraduate and graduate candidates who can commit to a full‑time schedule for at least three months.
Candidates must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering at an ABET‑accredited university or NCEES‑equivalent. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Open Roads or MicroStation and prior experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
